Yamuna Walk... How human actions are destroying a natural habitat and source of life to many!2/27/2015 After two weeks of initial research into the issues, students came up with their first action plan. It basically summarized their first thoughts about what they would like to do as a part of 'Action' during this Exhibition.
Mr Jayant Joshi (Head Administration) answering student-questions about waste management at school and school's efforts at reducing traffic congestion outside school. Both the interactions provided great opportunity for the students to understand school's systems and their ways of dealing with these problems.
Students of waste management group visited a Silver Manufacturing unit with the purpose of understanding how industrial waste is recycled. The entire process was shown and explained to them step-by-step so that the students could relate to the different types of wastes that are produced while manufacturing and how is each one disposed or recycled.
9 students who are inquiring into the issues - destruction of natural habitats and deforestation visited the Asola wildlife sanctuary to see how animals and other living organisms thrive peacefully in their natural habitats. The importance of a sanctuary or reserve was explained to them by the facilitators. This visit was facilitated by an NGO called Swechha.
